Hello and welcome to A Day in the Life! Our names are Bill and MaryAnn and we are the duo behind this site. A Day in the Life culture blog that compares and contrasts the customs and culture of the Irish and American lives through our own personal experiences. MaryAnn is an American exchange student studying at University of Limerick and Bill is an Irish native also studying at UL. Together we are exploring the differences between our cultures and day to day lives. We hope you enjoy diving into a day in our lives.

Hey guys my name is MaryAnn Witt and I am an exchange student at University of Limerick. I am from Phoenix, Arizona and I have this great opportunity to be living in Ireland for the next six months. I am a journalism major with a minor in criminology and criminal justice. Throughout the course of the next six months I will be learning as much as I possibly can about the Irish culture and sharing it with you all right here. My posts will dive into the day to day ways of life in Ireland looking at it all from my American perspective. I can’t wait to share my adventures and personal growth with you all. Cheers!

Well (hey)! I’m Bill, a business student in UL from Tippereary. I have lived in Limerick city for the past four years studying and playing rugby. I’ve taken on the task of teaching MaryAnn what it’s really like to be Irish, showing her the best of our sport, music, humour and delicacies while she will do her best to open my stubborn Irish mind to a variety of customs and cultural quirks from across the pond.
